About our programs

In this program our senior guards will teach the importance of water safety, lifeguard techniques, and team collaboration.

The Lavallette Beach Patrol Summer Jr Guards and Lifeguards in Training Program . These programs are designed to instruct community youth in beach and ocean safety and to improve swimming skills.

 

Junior Lifeguards

In this program our older guards will teach the importance of water safety, lifeguard techniques, and team collaboration. Jr. Guards will focus on practicing essential lifeguarding skills such as swimming, paddling and running. They will also participate in fun, team collaborative games and events similar to the ones in lifeguard tournaments. This program is perfect for those who are interested in learning more about lifeguarding, water safety and our beach patrol!

Swimmers must be able to swim 75 yards non-stop.

● Ages 10-12 Tuesdays and Thursdays
● Dates: June 26, 2025 - August 8, 2025
● 10:00am-11:30am
● Philadelphia Avenue at the Ocean.

 

 

Lifeguards in Training

Ages 13-15 who are motivated to become lifeguards or want to learn more about our beach patrol. It will emphasize water safety, rescue techniques, lifesaving skills, physical fitness and competition with each other and other L.I.T programs.

Swimmers must be able to swim 100 yards non-stop.

● Ages 13-15 Monday, Wednesday, Friday
●Dates: June 26, 2025 - August 8, 2025
● 10:00am-11:30am
● Philadelphia Avenue at the Ocean.

Our programs are perfect for those who are interested in learning more about lifeguarding, water safety and our beach patrol!
